Accessibility

Built to work for everyone.

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our standard

This website is designed and tested to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Based on the testing described below, we believe it conforms to that standard. If you find something that falls short, please tell us and we will fix it.

What this means for you

  • Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a link to skip straight to the content.
  • Text meets the AA contrast ratios against its background.
  • Pages reflow without sideways scrolling at 400% zoom and keep working when text spacing is increased.
  • Motion respects your device's reduced-motion setting; the scrolling banner has a pause button and other animations stop within five seconds.
  • Screen readers (such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS and TalkBack) get clear page landmarks, a logical heading structure, descriptive link and button names, and spoken updates while the contact form is sending.
  • Images have text descriptions, and decorative graphics and symbols are hidden from screen readers.
  • Form fields have labels, required fields are marked, and errors are announced to screen readers and point to the field that needs attention.
  • Navigation, headings and page structure are consistent across the site.

How we test

  • Automated checks (axe-core) against WCAG 2.2 AA on every page, at phone and desktop widths, and on the contact form's success and error states.
  • Keyboard checks on every page, including that the sticky header never hides the item in focus.
  • Checks of what screen readers announce on every page: landmarks, headings, and the names of links and buttons.
  • Checks for 400% zoom, increased text spacing and paused or finite motion.
  • These checks run on every change before it is published.

Known limitations

  • Screenshots of client websites on the home and work pages are images. They have text descriptions, but the text inside them cannot be resized or read aloud.
  • The contact form's optional spam check is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile. It is designed to be accessible; if it doesn't work for you, please email us instead.
